Many Information Technology students with strong technical skills are slow to advance in real employment because they don't know how to present themselves to employers, clients, and the public. This class fills that gap by training students to interact professionally with others, both face-to-face and online. Industry advisors have strongly recommended that we teach these skills.
Catalog DescriptionWriting, speaking, and interpersonal skills required to succeed in job interviews, communicate effectively to customers, supervisors, and peers. How to earn respect and develop a good reputation. Includes online and offline technical writing, oral presentation skills, and collaboration skills such as delivering and accepting criticism.
