Security and Blockchains

Blockchains are primarily a security technology, providing security features in the extreme: The killer app that made blockchains popular is cryptocurrency; primarily used for money-laundering and fraud. However, the fact that criminals were the early adopters doesn't mean the technology is useless for legitimate purposes. Legitimate IT professionals need to understand how to use blockchains and why. As an example, I have developed a prototype system for verified voting using blockchains.
